Since the beginning of 2014, Kelani has been publicly and privately writing poems, getting involved in online writing platforms, and working with school-affiliated writing programs.
Hi-Tokyo Moment Writer
Over the span of two years, Kelani wrote about moments she had experienced at 'home', moments of travel, and moments of inspiration; one article even landed her editor's pick. HiTokyo's platform soon after shut down and became an archival site--forever to be imprinted on the pages of the internet.
The Cougar Writer
Kelani worked with the Cougar, the University of Houston's newspaper, mostly writing about individuals and university events.
After the Pause
Kelani's poem was published in the online literary magazine, After the Pause, in their first issue with a poem titled "Hourglass" (page 52)
